About Laura

Welcome, I am happy you found my website.

I have over twenty years of experience providing psychotherapy to teenagers within a variety of settings. Eight years of this experience was working as a Child Welfare Worker with Alameda County Children’s Protective Services (CPS).

My work with CPS provided me with extensive experience in helping teens to overcome many significant issues of pain and suffering.

Working with teens and helping them through sometimes very traumatic experiences has greatly affected my life. In addition to raising my own teenager, I find it very rewarding to work with other teens and help them to overcome obstacles, make good choices, and develop the skills and insights that they need to lead happier and more productive lives.

Today I am working with many teens within the San Ramon, Danville, Livermore, Pleasanton and Dublin communities.  Common issues that I am seeing are related to teen depression (and/or suicidal ideation), substance abuse, peer pressure, self-harming behaviors, and self-esteem issues.

I welcome the opportunity to speak with you, listen to what issues your family may be struggling with, and share how my extensive experience and passion in working with teenagers can make a positive difference in the life of your teen.

In addition to my work with teens, I also specialize in working with couples, please visit my couples website at: www.MendingMyMarriage.com for more information on my therapy services specifically for couples.

I am currently accepting new clients ~ please call me today.
